Randia formosa – Blackberry Jam 16€

Out of stock Preparing to summer 2025

An exotic delicacy that you will fall in love with at first taste

Imagine a plant that at first glance captivates with its beautiful white flowers that open in the evening and sweetly perfume the entire corner of your apartment or winter garden. Their scent resembles gardenia, only more delicate and mysterious. And when the flowers bloom, small yellow fruits appear – inconspicuous at first glance, but they hide a real treasure inside. Just crack them open… and suddenly you will taste something you have never eaten before. The fresh pulp tastes like the finest blackberry jam – sweet, fragrant, with a delicate acidity. Nothing is added, just nature itself.

Randia formosa is a true gem among tropical plants. It grows slowly, compactly, and undemandingly. You can easily shape it into a bush or miniature tree in a pot and grow it on a balcony, in an apartment, or in a greenhouse. And what is most beautiful – it starts bearing fruit very early, often in the second year after sowing. A small bush barely half a meter high can bear up to thirty fruits at a time

This plant blooms and bears fruit in autumn and winter – at a time when most other plants are resting.

Randia likes an acidic, airy substrate and a humid environment.

This exceptional plant is not only beautiful – it is fun, tasty, surprising. It is a living gift that changes every day, blooms, smells, and ripens. And once you taste its fruit, you'll understand why it's called "blackberry jam."
