Psidium guajava ’José Jimenez’ / goiaba-folha-de-samambaia

News

A very rare guajava plant, it is extremely ornamental due to the unique beauty of its leaves, reminiscent of fern leaves. The spherical fruits, 2.5-3 cm in diameter, are very tasty with very sweet, yellow-white pulp and few seeds. The mature plant grows to a smaller size than most other guava trees. Due to its small size, the tree is enthusiastically recommended for growing in pots and bonsai. It was originally found by Mr. José Jimenez in a chicken farm in Santiago de los Caballeros
