A rare fruit gem from the heart of the Brazilian sertão

Serato Cambuca, botanically known as Myrciaria pilosa, is an extremely rare fruit plant native to northeastern Brazil, specifically the state of Ceará. This low, compact tree grows only about 1.5 to 2 meters tall in the ground. This makes it an ideal candidate for growing in containers. The fruits are round, reddish-purple with a matte skin and hide a beautifully ruby flesh with a sweet, honey-like flavor. They are great for eating fresh or making refreshing juices.

It thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, tolerates temperatures down to zero, and doesn’t mind city water. In a pot, it thrives in an airy mixture of peat and perlite. The tree grows quickly, flowers at 3 to 4 years old, and is very tolerant of temperature fluctuations.

This jaboticaba also has a significant ornamental value. The dark fruits contrast with the glossy green leaves and are really attractive during flowering and fruiting. Due to its rarity and limited occurrence in nature, Serato Cambuca is a collector's gem that will delight every lover of exotic fruit species. It will perfectly complement the collection of tropical plants and bring a piece of authentic Brazilian sertão to your apartment, garden or greenhouse.

If you are looking for an unusual, little-known fruit plant with an exceptional taste and story, Serato Cambuca is a choice that will not disappoint you. Growing is joyful, harvesting is rewarding and the experience of the fruits is unforgettable. This rare woody plant is only available in limited quantities.
