This is not a seedling but a mature specimen plant that has been carefully cultivated for several years and is ready to thrive in its new owner's care.
Native to Brazil's Atlantic Forest, Cambuím forms a compact, densely branched shrub or small tree reaching a height of around 2 meters. It is a very slow grower, making it an excellent choice for container gardening; even at maturity, it will not exceed 100 cm in height. Thanks to its naturally elegant shape, it does not take up much space and is ideal for smaller areas.
The fruit is small but very sweet and aromatic, delicious whether eaten fresh or used in further culinary preparations. During the ripening season, the plant is laden with fruit, creating a highly decorative effect alongside its small white blossoms.
Cultivation is easy—it requires a sunny spot, well-draining soil, and regular watering. While a mature plant can withstand brief temperature drops to around -6°C, we recommend overwintering it in a frost-free environment. Its compact growth habit also makes it suitable for bonsai styling.
