Sapodilla is a tropical evergreen tree, native to Mexico and Central America. This tree can be grown in containers in winter gardens, or in summer on a terrace or balcony. The plant produces fruits that have a granular, juicy, light yellow to earthy brown flesh, with 1-6 hard black seeds. They have a sweet taste similar to our caramel flavored pear.
