Cedar Bay Cherry, as the plant is also called, is a tropical shrub or small tree native to the Australian coast. Thanks to its compact size, easy cultivation and exceptionally tasty fruits, it is gaining popularity all over the world. This plant is ideal not only for experienced growers, but also for beginners who want to try something new and exotic.
The plant adapts easily to the available space and is ideal for growing in a pot. The glossy dark green leaves give it an attractive appearance all year round and during the flowering period it is decorated with small white flowers, from which orange-red fruits soon develop. These 2 - 3 cm large berries are round or ovoid in shape and surprise with a slightly sweet taste with a hint of forest fruits and grapes.

Instructions for growing Australian cherry
Substrate:
Preferably more acidic and well-drained
Recommended mixture: 2 parts peat, 1 part perlite, a little sand
Watering:
Water only when the substrate dries slightly
in winter, reduce watering, pour out excess water from the tray after watering.
Growing location:
Home all year round: As close to a window as possible, with plenty of light.
Summering is possible outside on a terrace, garden or balcony only from spring to autumn: Partial shade, later full sun.
Wintering:
Tropical plant - cannot tolerate temperatures below 0 °C for a long time. Winter at a minimum temperature of 5C
For the winter, place in a living room, bedroom, hallway, winter garden or tempered greenhouse, always as close to a window as possible
Fertilization:
Fertilizers Regular water-soluble or granular
For plants up to 2 years old, use half the dose.
Older plants can tolerate regular doses.
