We offer a three-year-old plant of Eugenia neonitida, also known as Pitangatuba, grown from seeds imported directly from Mexico.
This particular form differs from the more commonly grown pitangatuba primarily in its even slower and more compact growth. It forms a dense, low bush with smaller and narrower leaves, which makes it look very elegant and is also ideal for growing in containers.
It is of great interest that the offered plant is currently flowering, which confirms its maturity and approaching fruiting.
Pitangatuba is valued for its attractive yellow fruits resembling small carambola. The fruits grow to approximately 5 cm and have a very juicy, distinctly aromatic sweet and sour taste with notes of mango and pineapple.
The offered plant is healthy, well-rooted and is just entering the fruiting period.
