Syzygium megacarpa - Obří Lau Lau 29€

In stock

This beautiful plant, at first glance, will captivate you with its huge, shiny leaves, which look luxurious and lively, as if they brought the atmosphere of distant Pacific islands to your room or winter garden.

But the real magic comes when it starts to bloom. The flowers do not appear only at the ends of the branches, but literally all over the tree - on the trunk, branches and stems. They create an incredible spectacle that looks almost exotic and unreal. And that is why it is one of the most visually attractive tropical fruit trees that you can grow.

The plant grows relatively quickly and, under suitable conditions, begins to bear fruit in 2-3 years. Interestingly, one grower in Germany had it bloom as a very young plant, at approximately two years old and at a height of around 30 cm.

The fruits are large, deep pink to dark red, the size of a small grapefruit or baseball. Their flesh is crunchy, juicy and refreshing, with a taste similar to an apple.

Giant Lau Lau, botanically Syzygium megacarpa, comes from the Pacific region, where it is very popular, for example, in Papua New Guinea or the Solomon Islands. Local growers value it not only for its fruits, but also for its ornamental value.

Growing it is not difficult if you give it enough light, moisture and well-drained soil. It likes warmth and a sheltered location, but with proper care it also thrives in our conditions as a portable plant. Once it takes root in your home, it will reward you not only with its beauty, but also with its tasty fruits.

Giant Lau Lau is exactly the type of plant that will not fit in. It is a solitaire that attracts attention and makes you happy.

THE SIZE OF THE PLANTS SOLD WITH A FLOWER POT IS 20 TO 25 CM - LAST PICTURE
