The Rio Grande orange cherry (Eugenia aff. involucrata 'Orange') will catch your eye at first sight - its bright orange fruits with a delicate, sweet taste resemble apricot with a hint of mango and orange. It is significantly less bitter than the common red form. It grows faster, bears fruit in 2-3 years and grows 60-150 cm. It can withstand even mild frost and thrives well in containers.
The Jumbo cherry (Eugenia repanda) is a true gem among tropical shrubs. Its fruits – sweet, cherry-like berries – ripen almost all year round! The plant only grows to around 150 cm and is ideal for growing in a pot. It starts bearing fruit in its 4th year and is one of the least demanding exotic species – even a complete beginner can handle it.
Tropical apricot (Eugenia pyriformis), also known as Uvalha, will surprise you with the refreshing taste of bright yellow fruits. The flesh is sweet and sour, with an apricot flavor and tropical notes. Anyone can grow it – it grows well in a pot, on a balcony or garden in summer, and at home in winter. It is self-pollinating and bears fruit in 2-3 years. The seeds come from our own mother plant.

Instructions for growing eugenias
Substrate:
Preferably acidic and well-permeable
Recommended mixture: 2 parts peat, 1 part perlite, a little sand
Watering:
Water only when the substrate dries out slightly
In winter, reduce watering, pour out excess water from the tray after watering.
Growing location:
Year-round at home: As close to a window as possible, with plenty of light.
Summering is possible outside on a terrace, garden, or balcony, but only from spring to autumn: Partial shade, later full sun.
Wintering:
Tropical plant - cannot tolerate temperatures below 10°C for a long time. Winter at min. temperature 15C and above
Place in the living room, bedroom, hallway, winter garden or tempered greenhouse for the winter, always as close to the window as possible
Fertilization:
Fertilizers Ordinary water-soluble or granular
Suitable fertilizer: long-term granular fertilizer OSMOCOTE
