EUGENIA UNIFLORA

Eugenia uniflora is grown in the tropics and subtropics around the world for quality and delicious fruit, known as pitanga. The flesh of the fruit is sweet, pleasantly aromatic. They are consumed fresh or used to make various syrups, jams and liqueurs. It is a very undemanding type of plant to grow. There are many cultivated cultivars with different taste and color of fruits. Temperature in winter at least 10 C for fruiting in the following year, but for survival much less is enough.
