The rare cultivar jaboticaba pitrantha grows from 4 to 6 meters. It comes from the region of ESAlQ Brazil - Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz. Hence its name. This cultivar produces large reddish fruits with a dark red skin and a very sweet flesh with a pleasant taste.
